Privacy Policy
Sleep Well ("we", "our", "the app") is a sleep ritual app developed for personal use. This Privacy Policy describes what information the app handles and how we protect it.
- We do not collect any data. Everything stays on your device.
- We do not have servers. The app works entirely offline.
- We do not track you. No analytics, no advertising SDKs, no third-party tracking.
- We do not share your data with anyone, because we never receive it.
1. Data stored locally on your device
When you use Sleep Well, the following information is stored only on your device and is never transmitted to us or to any third party:

All of this data is stored in the app's private sandbox on your device and is protected by iOS's standard file-system encryption. When you delete the app, all of this data is removed automatically by iOS.
You can also clear all data at any time via Settings → Delete all data and recordings.
2. Permissions we request
The app requests the following iOS permissions to provide its features. You can grant or deny each of them, and you can revoke them at any time via iOS's Settings → Privacy & Security.
Microphone
Used only to record your bedtime "declaration" — a short sentence you speak out loud as part of the sleep ritual. The recording is saved locally on your device and never uploaded anywhere.
Speech Recognition
Used to transcribe the declaration recording so the app can verify you spoke the key phrases. Transcription happens on-device using Apple's Speech framework. The resulting text is used in-memory only and is not stored or sent anywhere.
Notifications
Used for bedtime reminders, alarms, and wake-up notifications. Notification content is composed locally; no external service is involved.
Family Controls (Screen Time)
Used only to automatically block other apps on your device during your chosen bedtime window, and to unblock them after. The app does not read which other apps you use — it simply toggles the iOS-level "allowed apps" list, under your control. This feature is optional; the app works without it.
3. Data we do NOT collect
- We do not collect your name, email, phone number, address, or any identifier
- We do not use cookies, analytics, advertising IDs, or tracking technologies
- We do not have user accounts — there is nothing to log in to
- We do not communicate with any server — the app has no internet-facing code
- We do not share any data with Apple or with third parties (beyond what iOS itself does for system features like notifications delivery)
4. Children's privacy
Sleep Well is a general-audience sleep app and is not directed to children. Because we do not collect any user information at all (see Section 3), no data is collected from users of any age, and this is enforced by design.
5. Your rights
Because all your data stays on your device, you are in full control at all times.
- Access: Your data is visible within the app (records view, settings, etc.)
- Delete: Use Settings → Delete all data and recordings to wipe everything, or uninstall the app
- Modify: Edit your settings, re-run onboarding, or delete individual records in-app
- Port: Since we don't have your data, we don't have a data-export feature — your recordings are directly accessible via iOS Files app under Sleep Well
6. Changes to this policy
If this privacy policy ever changes, the new version will be published at the same URL as this one, and the "Last updated" date at the top will be changed. Any material changes will be announced in-app before taking effect.
