How to Say (Chinese) ("the App") helps you turn what you want to say into natural Chinese. This policy explains what data the App handles and how.

What we process

• The text you type for translation, and any feedback you choose to report. This text is sent to our server, which forwards it to OpenAI to produce the translation, word analysis, pinyin, and grammar notes.

What we do NOT collect

• No name, email, account, or sign-in — the App has no login.
• No device identifiers, no advertising ID, no location.
• No advertising or cross-app tracking of any kind.

Data stored on your device only

Your word book, translation history, and settings are stored locally on your device and are never uploaded. Deleting the App removes them.

Third parties

• OpenAI — processes the text you submit to generate translations. See OpenAI's API data usage policy.
• Apple — provides on-device speech synthesis and, if you subscribe, handles in-app purchases. We never see your payment details.

Retention

To keep the service fast and low-cost, translations may be cached on our server in anonymous form (the text only, with no link to you). Text you report via "Report a problem" may be reviewed to improve translation quality.

Children

The App is rated 4+ and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.

Changes

We may update this policy; material changes will be reflected on this page with a new date.

How to Say 中文版(下称"本应用")帮助你把想说的话变成地道中文。本政策说明本应用如何处理数据。

我们处理什么

• 你输入的待翻译文本,以及你主动提交的反馈。这些文本会发送到我们的服务器,再转发给 OpenAI,用于生成翻译、逐词解析、拼音和语法说明。

我们不收集什么

• 不收集姓名、邮箱、账号——本应用没有登录系统。
• 不收集设备标识符、广告 ID、位置。
• 不做任何广告或跨应用追踪。

仅存于你设备上的数据

你的单词本、翻译历史、设置仅保存在本机,不会上传。卸载应用即删除。

第三方

• OpenAI——处理你提交的文本以生成翻译。
• Apple——提供本机语音合成;若你订阅,由 Apple 处理内购,我们不接触你的支付信息。

数据保留

为提升速度、降低成本,翻译结果可能以匿名形式(仅文本、不关联到你)缓存在服务器。通过"报告问题"提交的文本可能被用于改进翻译质量。

儿童

本应用分级为 4+,不会有意收集任何人(包括儿童)的个人信息。

变更

本政策可能更新,重大变更会在本页标注新日期。
